Excellent Work!

Most of the very old Clock Crew movies turn me off, but this movie is definitely one that deserves recognition for its excellent mixture of styles, themes and ideas, and yet uses the same Clock Crew characters in many different ways. In all, this was an outstanding collaboration that does a great job of breathing life back into the Clock Crew while so many other Newgrounds members thought it was dead and gone. In all, the best thing to do was to come back with a bang, and this great movie did just that.

Plus, the music used was very clever, giving the B joke a whole new perspective, but even going beyond that, the individual movies still did a great job of blending with the music and getting the job done right. In all, I thought it was a great flash movie, and definitely deserved the attention it has been getting.

A Good Job

A few parts of it were good, I definitely thought you picked a great song to do a flash to, but the flash movie itself left me wanting a little more, maybe something that changes scene as the song progresses with better graphics and animation.

Still, keep working at it and I'm sure you will go further.

It takes guts...

To keeping a series going on this long. I probably would have given up doing a daily flash thing myself, but its intresting to see it still comes in every day. Yes, if you see my past reviews, I had a hatred for these things. But honestly, they have been getting a bit better, and haven't been recycling the same TMNT theme again and again. That's what really drove me insane.

Also, it's nice to see a DailyToon submission from ThreeStar, my favorite member of the Star Syndicate. Not only is ThreeStar's animation great (I loved "Eat Poop Alastor" from Alastor Collection C), but she's an honest to goodness Pokemon fan as well. I couldn't ask for more.

Also, I do have to thank for creating a great abusive review cash crop with these things. Flagging them got me a silver whistle, and in a way I feel I owe you one. I used to think DailyToon was such a stupid and pointless series, and now I see that's the whole point of it. It's funny to see people get so frustrated and annoyed over a simple flash movie...

TheStarSyndicate responds:

Wow, I just learned to love you.

I actually created a list of several hundred abusive reviews for dailytoons and posted it in a few forums I go to. I never checked to see if my whistle level ever went up :P

It's good actually.

Even though it's pretty simplistic, it's actually quite funny in an unexpected way. Graphics are okay but maybe a few more frames of animation in the "singing" could help it a bit. Also, an actual background would make this a lot better.

Keep it up though, it was pretty funny.

I was to lazy. Advice taken though.

Thanks and Merry christmas :D.

Beyond Incredible

There are only a rare few, only a small handful of flashes out there that could ever compare to the brilliance and majestic power of this flash. There are only a few that can take powerful artwork and a meaningful song and weave them together to craft a message that won’t be soon forgotten. No doubt that with this flash, you’ve probably inspired many with your amazing work. You certainly do deserve the praise.

Where can I start? The colors used, the themes presented, the expressions portrayed all linked together to form the perfect mix to create a dynamic and brilliant flash, which like art, can be interpreted in many ways. Not a single person spoke during the length of the animation, yet the expression in every person’s face and eyes spoke an even more powerful message. The body language also was exceptional, something that is very difficult to capture appropriately in a flash movie. However, you did an amazing job of capturing that aspect with no problem at all. Fascinatingly enough, most flashes seem like they were meant for the music that is played during them. In this, it seems more like the music used was solely meant for this movie.

I don’t know what path you took to become such a great flash artist, but I can definitely say, it was surely the right one. I hope you continue working on these flash movies, because you have an amazing talent.

AloneInTheDark responds:

Thank you so much! I have put much thought in all the details you mentioned. And trust me, there were alota problems during the animating of those details, lol. When you said that it seemed like the music was made for the video and not the other way around, that was actually one of the biggest compliments i ever recieved. Take care!

Such an Awesome Flash.

To say the least, I adored Duke Nukem 3D. I don't remember how many hours I put into that game, but it must have been in the thousands. Regardless, its been a long time since I've played that game, but this flash brought back a lot of great memories.

Lots of laughs, great and smooth animation, the lighter flame was very realistic even for a cartoon, and it was funny to see all the versions of Duke Nukem playing together in a band. I'd have to say, great job. It takes a lot of creative thought to make a flash like this, and you did just that. Hopefully someday Duke Nukem will come back in a great game.

TmsT responds:

And it's only 10 frames a second. ^_~

Beyond Outstanding

I'm not surprised you decided to make a DVD out of this. In fact, this is probably even better than some cartoons that are already are on DVD. Graphics are awesome, animation is extremely smooth, and the storyline goes very deep from what I've seen from other flashes of yours. I can't see how anyone can vote less than 5 on this.

I find your selection of characters and themes used are very unique in style. Also, your application of animation, color, and style build greatly on the animation to create something I've never see anything even close to this.

In all, remarkable job. This is definitely work you should be proud of.

Awesomeness!

Ha ha, while you do that at the computer, I tend to do that kind of nonsense in the car (especially at night when no one else can see you through the car windows). Music isn't fun unless you're a part of it.

I liked it a lot, it's pretty funny with a different approach to flashes that use live video. Plus you picked a pretty good song to do that to. It's definitely random, but in a good way. I wasn't expecting to see something like this today.

In all, nice job on a good laugh, and I hope you keep up the good work.

I think you're pretty good.

Actually, I've seen several of your movies, and I think they're quite good. I didn't even know you've been doing Flash for that long. I'm glad you've decided to stick with it, and continue to build your skills with the program. It's definitely obvious that it all paid off.

There will always be idiots that vote zero on even the greatest of flashes out there, just for the sake of frustrating the author. All that needs to be done is to show them that even with all their demoralizing comments, you can still rise greatly above them all by making what you do best even better, and then you'll be the one looking down upon them.

And you've done just that. Congratulations, and good luck to you in the future.

AntiClockClock responds:

Now you learned more about me! =) Thanks for your review!

Another good tutorial!

Ah, I didn't think you would have another one up so soon, but I'm glad to see it and I'd have to say, this one is quite good as well. The part with body language was actually pretty good too, not a whole lot of lip syncing tutorials even cover that area.

This series is great for beginners, and I'm glad you created it. Nice job, and again, thank you for reaching out to help other flash artists become even better.

JackSmack responds:

again you are very welcome... I started to make these on a whim cause I saw a tutorial that was VERY DEGRADEING. I watch alot of the things on here and know there are some people who REALLY TRY but don't have the knowledge...

I want to see people make good animations. and it doesn't hurt if they like me for making the tutorials... hehe... Everyone needs friends right?

Again thank you for your complements and you are welcome for the tutorials.

Yep, I'm on XBox Live as "RazorDragon.' I accept all friend invites.
